talk
Say it once, out loud.
In the meeting. In the thread. Into your phone on the walk back to your desk. Nobody opens a tool afterwards to write down what just happened.
welcome to the age of continuous productivity
nobody sent a memo about this
Somewhere in the last year a lot of companies quietly picked up coworkers who don't sleep, don't forget, and have read every document anyone there has ever written. There was no announcement. There was no offsite.
The strange part isn't how clever they are. It's how ordinary it starts to feel — handing one a job on Tuesday and getting it back Wednesday, finished, with the sources still on it.
the thing everyone gets wrong
Drop a genius into a company and watch them be useless for a month. They don't know who decides things. They don't know what was already tried and dropped. They weren't in the room in March. That's the real job — not being brilliant, but having been here. Stride exists to close that gap on the first day instead of the ninetieth.

remember
Transcripts are where decisions go to die. What survives here is the decision itself: who made it, what it rules out, and the four things that now depend on it.
move
Scout notices what’s gone quiet, offers to take it, waits for an actual yes, and comes back with the work done and every source still attached.
ask the company, not the dashboard
Ask Scout the way you'd ask whoever has been here longest. You get the answer, where it came from, and — when the story has a hole in it — the hole.
one name at the front door
You talk to Scout. Scout knows when to just answer and when to go get the researcher, or the analyst, or the one who is frighteningly good at slides. Every handoff has a name on it, so when something goes sideways there is somebody to ask.
No agent theatre in the group chat. Nothing gets started because you said “we should probably” out loud.
a coworker who knows their place
A conversation can inform the work. It cannot authorise the work. That line is most of the product, and it does not move.
Permission is checked before anything is retrieved, not after an answer is already written.
This scope, this evidence, this destination, this budget. Approve that, and that is what runs.
Sources, drafts, what it skipped, and what it is still unsure about all travel with the result.
